Fair Haven caters for residents aged 65 plus with residential, and/or dementia care needs.
Fair Haven can also cater for short term residents and Respite care subject to bed availability
There are 17 single bedrooms in the Home, all are fitted with a wash basin & mirror. A further 12 en-suite rooms were added in 2012.
Fairhaven was originally the Station Hotel before changing to a Care Home 20 years ago and is currently the only care home in Soham.
Soham is only a few miles from the larger towns of Ely, Newmarket and Cambridge, there are a lot of historical interests such as Ely Cathedral and its associated buildings, Cambridge with its links to education and the Boat Race and Newmarket, famous for its horse racing fraternity.
Cherie Gardner is the Home Manager of Fair Haven.
Cherie has worked at Fair Haven since 1996. Prior to becoming the Manager in 2011 Cherie was a Senior Carer within the home. Cherie has achieved her Leadership & Management Award in 2011 and has completed her ‘Skills for care’ Managers Induction Standards.
